For more than two decades, I’ve had the privilege of traveling the world, working in aviation, exploring cities, and collecting stories along the way. Travel has always been about more than seeing the sights for me—it’s about discovering the character of a place, wandering through its markets, meeting its people, and finding the little details that make somewhere memorable. Somewhere along the way, that curiosity became an obsession with antiques, beautiful objects, and the stories they carry.
Royal Tea Company grew out of that obsession. What began with a love of antiques—particularly Wedgwood, silver, jewelry, and all things associated with a proper cup of tea—has become a way of bringing the thrill of the hunt to other people. I source from flea markets, estate sales, antique shops, dealers, and markets around the world, always looking for the unusual, the beautiful, the slightly eccentric, and occasionally the wonderfully ridiculous. Every piece has a story, and I rather enjoy telling it.
This site is where all of those interests come together: antiques, travel, collecting, shopping, history, and a healthy amount of gossip. Expect stories from the road, discoveries from flea markets and antique shops, advice on what’s worth bringing home, and perhaps the occasional royal pronouncement on matters of taste. Consider Royal Tea Company your invitation to pull up a chair, pour yourself something civilized, and come along for the adventure. After all, life is far too short for boring things.
“Stay curious, chase beauty, and never be afraid to take the long way around.”
So, come along with me. This is not a perfectly polished journey, and I have no intention of pretending it is. There will be beautiful discoveries and spectacular mistakes, unexpected detours, a little turbulence, and—naturally—a considerable amount of gossip along the way. We’ll celebrate the wins, laugh at the disasters, learn from the missteps, and occasionally wonder what on earth I was thinking. Life, much like a good antique, is rarely perfect—and that is precisely what makes it interesting. Pull up a chair, pour the tea, and join me for all of it: the adventures, the absurdity, the surprises, and everything in between.
